Belinda Bell 

Hi guys! My name is Belinda Bell and I’m the current president of the Psi Lambda chapter of Chi Omega here at Valdosta State University. If you would have asked me 3 years ago if I thought I would become the president of a sorority, I would have denied it so quickly! I never thought I would have the honor and opportunity to do so.

When I went through Recruitment in 2015 I just saw it as a way to make new friends and that was all… and I did that, but I also did so much more. I began to find my lifetime best friends, I was given so many new opportunities, I found self-confidence and began believing in myself the way my sisters believed in me. My life has changed so much since that nervous college freshman opened her bid card to see Chi Omega waiting for her. I’ve learned "to be womanly always and discouraged never, to put scholarship before social obligation", and most importantly "to be lovable rather than popular."

I owe it all to Chi Omega.

I’m so blessed to have been chosen by my sisters to lead such a beautiful group of girls. I can only hope every girl finds their home just like I did in Chi Omega.
